Born of very greedy merchant parents in the rather prosperous Grey Vale, Kellan was given a childhood of exploration and intrigue. His parent’s customers, usually Dwarf traders, would delight in the spells of trickery taught by his parents at an early age. They would give him scraps of paper from books, scrolls, and other writings in exchange for playing practical jokes on their friends. His pursuit of knowledge was greatly encouraged by his parents.
At age 12, a group of Goblins snatched him from the side of the Grayflow river. They poked and prodded him for a period of 4 years, not knowing whether to eat him or use him for entertainment. Kellan managed to escape, using his childhood games of trickery to distract the Goblins as he ran away. This period of time changed him, and he soon dedicated his time to studying the universe’s oldest lore, looking for a solution to his beloved Grey Vale’s Goblin problem.
As he entered and excelled in his schooling, Kellan became very dedicated to the god Amaunator, the deity of the sun and timekeeper of the gods. After a grueling nine years of education, Kellan stepped out into the world.
A chance encounter with a Goblin one evening while walking along the river, counting the day’s take with his mother led Kellan to believe that he should take his quest to rid Grey Vale of the Goblins outside of his beloved home.
Kellan is deeply guided by strict rules of time and order. Because of this, he was drawn to music at a very early age, and can often be heard creating new melodies. Sometimes, his natural talent leads him to create an instrument out of random items he picks up, which he uses to delight his fellow travelers as they either succeed… or fail spectacularly.
Kellan is afraid of the dark, and usually will not go into the dark alone.
Kellan suffered a heartbreak unlike any other when he fell in love while still in school. He prefers to be alone now, but will often be heard planning a practical joke against his latest crush.
Kellan loves to laugh, play, and entertain.
Kellan hates only one thing. Goblins.
